Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts (AP, AR, GL) in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor project-based financial performance and prepare cost vs. budget variance reports.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  1. Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Process supplier invoices, subcontractor claims, and material purchase invoices.
  • Verify and match invoices with delivery orders, purchase orders, and site confirmations.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and schedule supplier/subcontractor payments.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, retention sums, and payment certificates.
  1. Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Prepare customer invoices and progress claims as per contract terms.
  • Follow up on collections and monitor outstanding receivables.
  • Reconcile accounts with clients and main contractors.
  • Maintain proper documentation of contracts, VO (Variation Orders), and payment certificates.
  1. Cash Flow & Financial Planning
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor daily cash position.
  • Support management with financial planning for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Manage petty cash and ensure timely reimbursement.
  1. Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure all financial processes comply with company policies, audit requirements, and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain proper filing of financial documents, contracts, and project records.
  • Assist in internal and external audits.
  1. Taxation & Statutory Requirements
  • Assist with SST, corporate tax submissions, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare necessary schedules for tax agents and auditors.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory payments (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB—if HR-related tasks are included).

Job Requirements:

  1. Possess at least a Diploma or higher qualification in accounting or a related field.
  2. Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience is preferred.
  3. Able to handle all full set of accounts and well-versed in SQL accounting software.
  4. Independent, detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive, with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  5. Proficient in Mandarin and English (both spoken and written) to response with China and Malaysia accounting.
  6. Good analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Familiarity with financial reporting, taxation, and audit processes.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
